Who We Are
Persimmon was founded in 2006 with the idea that Culpeper and the surrounding communities of Central Virginia were in need of high-quality women’s consignment that could be offered in a fresh, clean, and boutique atmosphere.
Over the next 16 years, Markey, the original owner, along with her dedicated and fashion-savvy employee, Sharry, worked to build Persimmon up as a staple in the Culpeper community, offering a fabulous and ever-changing selection of stylish and affordable merchandise.
Meet Lenna
Lenna Storm, the new owner of Persimmon as of 2022, is a local Culpeper gal with a passion for greening the jewelry and clothing industries and a background in sustainability and environmental science. Lenna channels her own creativity into jewelry and metalsmithing through her other business, LA Storm Designs, where she makes bespoke jewelry out of high-quality, sustainably sourced metals and stones.

Moving into the future, we will be driven by an ethic of reuse, supporting small local businesses, creative "upcycling" of materials into wearable and household art, and enhancing life with the beauty of art and community.
